Loving your diary, but oh my you make me feel tired just reading it ! :) sounds like you're a very organised person, i am so jealous, I have a butterfly brain and couldnt organise a thingy in a thingy ...
Its just a bad day, Not a bad life ..
  • Thanks Mara :) its nice to have some company! I am far from organised in real life though...you probably hear echoes of the me I'd like to be here. For example, I've done nothing more about any of the meetup things, as I haven't been able to find my diary!

I chewed some pretty big frogs with various admin tasks on Thursday - can now sigh a huge sigh of relief. Am almost sorted with prep for renting house out this coming week - just a few remaining jobs:
    • filing and move sensitive paperwork
    • deep clean in lounge and kitchen
    • confirm house sitting plans
    • check out ebay listings for box of stuff under stairs
Friday was a welcome NSD :) but not so Saturday. Spent £10 on fuel (was empty) but got voucher for extra points and 14p/litre off if spent £15 on cleaning stuff and loo roll. Needed this for house rental so stocked up - resulting spend £20 but nabbed my fuel voucher. I will wait until we are empty (or it almost expires) then fill up! No plans to drive far for a few weeks - this recovery lark does help with the fuel budget! Almost traipsed into town to do various jobs and to use my August john lewis cake and cuppa voucher, but decided in the end dozing in the garden was better for me!

Had paying guests staying Friday night and more this weekend, so quite a bit of house cleaning done. Saturday saw some toys I've been after (similar to DD's favourites when she was little) for my nephew to use when he is here on facebook buy and sell. £19 later we are sorted for his toddler years I think! Also took the chance to walk up and down some streets I hadn't visited before, near a lovely park. Friend was due to be visiting tonight but rang yesterday asking to come early - her holiday accommodation wasnt working out. Excited to be able to turn out a mezze feast from stuff in the fridge, as there were leftovers from our two previous home cooked meals - tagine and cous cous, and carrot and bean burgers, plus yet more of our gifted olives. Not sure what to do with the last couple handfuls - need to go in or on something to preserve them!

Went to BQ for some advice / free design session about new kitchen and bathroom (post loan repayment house renovation plans). Bathroom came in well under what I had expected, kitchen a bit more - but for the exercise we just put mid price appliances in, and I hopefully wont need to buy them all, and certainly not all from there. So I now have some computer generated images of what my new rooms might look like, to help me decide on the planning permission application drawings where to put the walls! My house guest tonight is an architect so hoping to ask his advice later too!!

Health wise - been snacking a bit and just had one day off the flossing! Debt wise, made payments of £218 to the debt, by sending transfers as soon as the money was confirmed from the guests. I've never done this before - always just let it sit in my current account and at the end of the month paid off whatever I could. Paying the debt first from any additional earnings then living off whatever I can is proving a much less agonising route (so far..wait until we get to the end of the month!). I am expecting some big payments next week from the long rental of the house. I'll be keeping £60 back to cover DD and her mates trip to the water park (as per her list) but planning to transfer the rest :)
