Hi all
I bought a Panasonic internet TV a few months ago. It doesn't have Channel 4 OD as an app so I have to use my laptop - I have tried to access some programmes but I get the message that I have to upgrade or enable Adobe. I can't see how to enable it - surely i should be able to watch Channel 4 OD? It is very frustrating as the TV is not particularly easy to use, unless the app is on the front screen such as Iplayer. Can anyone help me get access please? thanks. there is a message saying I have to check a TechNote to do it, but every time the web browser crashes. Seems pretty useless.
The guy in the shop told me only Samsung Tvs have this app but all other TVs just have Iplayer as standard. So I have to go into the web browser each time, and it hasn't worked yet!

Adobe is a company.
They seem to be managing to get by already without needing you to activate them
If you mean the message tells you to activate Adobe Flash Player, get it here:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/0 -

So I just put that in the browser on the TV?0 -
I am getting a message "Flash player is already installed, but disabled.
This is for Google Chrome browser..which I presume is what I have. sorry I'm v behind the times re TVs.0 -
Then when I try to install it - Web browser cannot display page". arrrghh0

If you trying to install Flash on the TV you can't install anything on the TV. The browsers on a TV tend to be rather basic and are just for web browsing simple pages they can't handle catchup sites. You have to use the apps available on the TV or use another device.0

If you need to enable/disable Flash, have a look in the "Add ons" or "Extensions" (there should be an option in the menu somewhere).
But, as above, I doubt you'd be able to install Flash on a TV via a browser... That should work for your laptop, though.
If you want to get 4od working on your TV, just do a web search for "4od" and the model of your TV to see if/how it can be done.0 -
Oh, I thought you wanted to install Flash Player on your laptop.
You mean you want to install it on the browser on your TV? I can't see that working I'm afraid.0 -
Your earlier posts state that you bought a Panasonic Viera but you didn't state what model.
For example the spec for model TX32AS500B says ..
Web Applications: Access to web applications/apps?
BBC iPlayer:
Whether or not the unit has access to one of the most popular web apps - BBC iPlayer.
Full Web Browser :
Whether or not the unit gives the option of a full web browser. Note that in some instances not all web content can be shown - such as Flash.0 -

Thanks - mine is Viera L32E6B. Looks like I need to use Cloud?0 -
From a review :
Incidentally, other apps on the Panasonic TX-L32E6B include BBC News, BBC iPlayer, Eurosport Player (subscriptions needed), YouTube, BBC Sport, iConcerts, Skype, Netflix, Euronews, Dailymotion, EuroSport, CNBC Real-Time, PlayJam Games, SHOUTcast Radio, Aupeo, Chess Challenge, Rovi TV Listings, Social Networking, Facebook and Twitter.
That's not a bad haul, but it's not as good as Samsung's provision of ITV Player, 4OD and Demand 5
Looks like you will need to continue to use your laptop for 4OD0
