  • Thanks for your post DollyDreamer and Moohound.
It was only yesterday that I got the slow cooker so assume it will still be on. It was definitely a national deal.
Moohound, that's a great idea. I would suggest that to the family but think most of us have already started. Definitely one to advise of next year!

Christmas is a nightmare and have majorly tried to cut back.. If I didn't, I would have 17 children alone to buy for! I did take the time to look through my bundle of goodies today and have 4 children sorted, my sister, two brothers and step dad sorted which is pretty good. Also have part mums and other niece and nephews present done. I did overspend at the start of year on gifts in the Christmas sale but it has definitely helped me out as I won't need to buy much over the next few months.

Today i got a massive bag of clothing down to the charity shop - I was going to save it for a car booty but knew my local needed donations and felt pretty good after it.
I have also made a pact to buy one tin of food and 1 dog food on every shop but must be £1 for two as I like to save them up for the food bank and dog home at christmas. Again, this is additional funds but £1 a week can't harm.

In my slow cooker today I have Parmesan chicken and will serve with some vegetable rice and broccoli. Got a Bzzagent campaign through and is Limdt chocolate so that's for dessert.

Through gritted teeth I put the heating on, really didn't want to as want to be in credit and bring down our £91 a month bill. Even put on additional layers and had a cuppa but caved.

I had a good long look at our wedding budget today and almost had a stroke... We havent over indulged or bought anything we can't afford... Everything has been bought either with a discount or on offer - Including the honeymoon, we won't see much change off £18k. It is doable but I want to clear our debt first before we start to save for our wedding. This has made me more determined to clear it asap.

And, I have made a pledge to myself that I will not buy anymore clothes until I loose weight. Winning both ways I suppose!
  • Oh and also paid £20 to one credit card... Not much but still bringing it down! *punches sky*

    It all helps :)

If there is interest on the card, it in effect pays £20 off and saves the interest on that £20
