Training Grants/Funding/Loans

Hello.

At 46, I have recently started self-employed and would really to do a Prince2 and Microsoft Project (project management training courses) to improve my skillset. Does anyone know where grants etc can be applied to for these type of courses?

Many thanks :)

I can't imagine anybody would be willing to give you money for training of that sort, pay for it out of earnings and it should be an allowable business expense.
  • I think you will have to pay for yourself as the person above says. Give Buisness Link a ring and ask them if they know of any available help in your area.
  • It is unlikely you will find funding for these courses as they are not fundable by the Skills Funding Agency (like an NVQ is normally for example). You could contact your local FE College (most offer these courses) and ask about funding opportunities, there is usually a pot of money covering people's circumstances, you may be lucky.
