You know I have builders today, I am just wondering how long they can go without needed to spend a penny. :o

Neither of them have been in and they have been here since 8am.

They did go off for early lunch somewhere as they do. ;)

Maybe I am not making them enough cups of tea. :rotfl:

I am still getting used to tmf and mbg - golden rules are don't include different items that require the receipt in the same shop :o, make sure you keep hold of the receipt if including in an APG shop :o, make sure you keep hold of any packaging/labels/codes that you have to send off with your claim :o ... and make sure you send in the claim by the deadline (sometimes has to be within X days of the receipt date) :o.

Let's just say I have messed up on each of those so far and am speaking from experience :o.

PS and make sure if there is anyone in your house that may throw away the packaging or receipt that you get them safely locked away :) ... the receipt and packaging(!)

Thanks for the tips, you're an :A

Most of the things you mentioned had not occurred to me so I just copy and pasted your tips into a document on my desktop :rotfl:I think I will have to get a folder for my packaging and receipts - struggling to get the munchkins not to throw away the sweetie packaging for cinema tix as it is.

I came up with a cunning plan today  I have xx stones to lose and was trying to work out how I was going to get to the different stores to maximise my savings as I dont drive. Taxis are out as massively defeats the object, buses are almost as expensive, so....I plan to walk there and back while hubby is in work then I can shop at leisure with no huffing and puffing and daft questions about why you getting this/that

Nearest As is 20 minutes walk but is a small one with probably not much chance of any wombles and not very well stocked so will go to next closest (Eastlands is massoove) which is 45 mins walk each way.

2 plump birds with one stone, now to see if I can shed some pounds while I save some

Other than what I did in the garden this year, I was too late for onions and runner beans :( but I don't really like runner beans anyway so I don't feel like I'm missing out on them :o

I brought home a lettuce too :D I've put Christmas potatoes in today, as well as broccoli, purple sprouting broccoli and kale :j

I've only had the keys for 3 months. I've got 19 different things growing there and that's only on half the plot :j:T

Interesting article about a couple who had their pre-paid visa card credited rather than debited by a shopkeeper - so got the shopping and the money for the shopping credited back to their card. Convicted of fraud - the error was with the card/shop processing but she was convicted as they continued to take advantage of the error:

and the people of Hornsea will be thinking £20,000 for 9 months probation, and 150 hours community work is a good exchange!
