First of all, can I say I am not aware of any 'Code of Practice' and certainly I've never seen anything in writing (...so how could I possibly know what it did or did not require of me?!?). We all have different standards, and just because someone thinks something is wrong does not mean that it is. The only standard that matters is the law. As long as it does not break the law...

1 x ASDA Extra Power Pain Reliever Caplet Tablets (16) £0.54 £2.00
When I bought these in the morning they compared as N/A. I won't be buying these in a Morries shop again! Nothing else of interest in this failed chicken and bog roll shop except for....
1 x ASDA Extra Special Sweet Aromatico Cherry Tomatoes... £1.75 £0.99
These were the nicest tomatoes I ever had. I hope this is a long term comparison and not just a Morries offer
Sadly the Tomatoes do appear to be relying on a Morries offer, as well as, potentially, a glitch on the APG linking them up to an item in Morries this time. I've looked into this (I wasn't intending on doing so and wasn't intending to be back here on this forum so late/early, but I was trying to pre-prepare a shop and ended up going through this section of items on msm).
These Cherry Tomatoes, which are Cherry Tomatoes on the Vine 220g, show N/A for Morries on msm. It appears that they are comparing either to M's Signature Piccollo Tomatoes on the Vine 220g, which msm/m.com have on offer in Morries at 99p until 24/8 (but fortunately we have a bit longer than that on APG due to the E&W Bank Holiday - don't ask about the position in Scotland).
Or that they are comparing to M's 'ordinary' Tomatoes on the Vine (called "Vine Ripened Tomatoes" on msm) which are on 99p and in the 3 for £2 offer at M.
Maybe it would work out better to buy in 3s? (:rotfl:)
This is the same offer as the Maris Piper Potatoes offer. Who knows if that would pick up mix and match:rotfl:.
If these E/S Tomatoes are comparing to the ones on the 3 for £2 (they're not being called "Piccollo"), and if it picks up the 3 for £2 offer (maybe best on 3x these E/S Tomatoes) then this could be quite a good glitch for what you consider to be nicer (or better 'quality') tomatoes, even whether or not the weight of the packs in M is quite a lot more (on their 'ordinary' standard range ones). Maybe in the light of the weight, it's more likely they are comparing to the Signature Piccolo ones:think:, which are on straight 99p and no mbuy offer? But, given that Morries offer appears to be soon ending on those, might want just to buy three on your next Morries shop (before or on Tuesday maybe).
I cannot see an end date for the Maris Piper on m.com. This may suggest that this may be ending very soon, especially as it is a very good offer. (Of course, the delay on the APG, and the fact we know they are comparing, allows us to rush out and get them at the last minute if need be if I come back and report they're off in Morries on Tuesday!) Perhaps the 'ordinary' Vine Ripened Tomatoes are 220g weight? (Unfortunately the pack sizes weren't enough for me to examine them more closely.) Or perhaps they've 'just linked them up anyway', like they do:D.
("Piccollo" do describe themselves as "amazingly sweet" on morries.com*. And searching for "Signature Cherry" on there - not that that website has any relevance to the APG - does bring up, as well as a Signature yogurt (not relevant), the Signature Piccollo Tomatoes. Hmmm...)
Signature Piccollo - 99p down from £1.69
Vine Ripened Tomatoes - 99p any 3 for £2.00
*I would highlight the word "sweet" as common in the description of the M product and the name of the A product.0 -

We shouldnt, but also people should not gamble what they cant afford to loose (using my previous analogy)

It's a good analogy as I've have in the past done exactly That, now I don't gamble at all0 -
Savvy_Siobhan wrote: »Thank you, my shops actually worked. And if they hadn't I would of kept them ( we each a lot of chicken) it was a passing comment to those who Prehaps could afford the hit. I just find it odd people taking the moral high ground at all discussing any of this.
So where's this code of practice then? Or is it a general code?
It's not a case of moral high ground. We all like a bargain and we get plenty. Some people do return things and that's up to the individual. But generally returning fresh food is a no-no at best it gets binned, at worst it's returned to shelves for another un-suspecting customer to buy (this shouldn't happen, but we all know it probably does) no one likes wasted food, and no-one would like to unsuspectingly buy someone else's returns.
There's a general rule of thumb with glitching.......Don't spend what you can't afford to lose. Because losing it is always possible. If you play the game, you have to be prepared to take a hit if you lose.
No one was getting at you. When there's a big glitch, there tends to be a lot of new posters on the thread. It was wise words from people who have been around for a long time.
Those are the people that others are happy to ask questions of when there's a glitch they want a part of.0 -

To be fair, some people may not be fully aware of this though. At least they are now, that they have read this.davemorton wrote: »I think of it as gambling. If you win at the bookmakers, you win, but if you loose, you dont ask for your stake back. If that makes sense at this time of night.
I think, no, I know, I referred to the APG as the 'Price Gamble' before now.0 -
Well I for one think it has been a very sensible Friday night night shift.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
