Tesco Pension Scheme - What will happen if I get married again

Dear All.
I'm receiving a liftime pension since my husband died in 2007. We had no kids. He was a member of Tesco Pension Scheme. Could you please answer one (not so easy) question:
What happens if I get married again?
Thank you in advance and sorry for my English.
Paula.

I would think you would only get a definitive answer from the Pension Scheme People themselves or have a look at the paperwork that you have.
All schemes are different....
And your English is perfect, by the way.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
My widowed mother-in -law [ now deceased] - who was very old school/straight laced decided to co-habit not remarry when she realised she'd lose her first husband's hard earned company widow's pension if she re-married.
Not sure if co-habiting was against the scheme rules.0 -
Sometimes cohabiting means loss of pension, other times not. Depends on t he scheme rules.
So, get a copy and read them if they aren't online. Could be a while before another tesco pensioner comes along?0 -

If the information isn't in there, you'd need to either read any pension booklet you have or contact the pension scheme.
I'd do it in writing just to be doubly sure.
Many years ago, when I was working in the pension department of a very large company, people in receipt of widow's pensions lost them on remarriage.0 -
It would be worth giving the Tesco pension people a ring, they will just give you the information you need. They have been very helpful to me in the past & I would contact them agin in a flash if I needed to.0
