I wanna unlock car door - keys inside!!!

Speaking from experience (same car, same year, same problem).
Try another Ford key in the drivers door, the driver's side lock gets worn easily and Ford keys are all very similar in design. Give the key and the door handle a good jiggle about for 5 minutes and you may well open it.
I'll no doubt get told off for encouraging car thieves here, but if that doesn't work, you'll need:
1. Torch
2. Flat bladed screwdriver
3. Wire coat hanger
Bend the wire coat hanger so that it's straight and long, and make a small hook on the end of it.
Using the screwdriver, prise up the driver's door window rubber on the bottom of the window. You are most interested in the side of the rubber directly above the door locking mechanism. Be careful not to scratch the paint on the door.
Once the rubber is removed or prised away enough, shine the torch down toward the locking mechanism. You should see a metal 'arm' coming off the inside of the lock. Use the hook on the coat hanger to pull it up sharply. This will release the lock and the door should open. If up doesn't work then push it down. To get a bit more access if need be, you can get a second person to pull the door metal out slightly - DON'T bend it!
This will work if you persevere. Otherwise it's a brick through the window!
Before I get told off by anyone for posting this.
1. This info is freely available all over the internet.
2. It doesn't work with modern cars, they have shielded locking mechanisms.0 -
OK, enough already!
Eventually found out that my step-daughter's dad had her car covered with Green Flag - a nice man came out 90 mins after we phoned, then opened the car in 30 seconds flat!
Many thanks to you all for your efforts :T
EdI love a nice juicy "kebab"...0 -
:j Thank goodness for that!! Well done Ed, it's always good to hear when someone's difficulties are sorted.
I'm off to look up Green Flag now - never heard of them beforebut they sound worth looking into

I used to work for a breakdown/recovery firm. They all get a big file supplying details of the easy way to break into all cars, that's why they're so quick at it. Amazingly some of the easiest to get into are also the most expensive motors. Porsche took about 5 seconds!I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the Board Drunk for this board. As the night wears on, my posts will become worse, with simple spelling mistakes, inane ramblings, and a blatant disregard for the truth. I have no authority to do anything, so there's no point asking or telling me. If you see me past midnight, please tell me to get my coat and order me a taxi.

If a mod wants to remove this then fine.
This works with virtually all cars that have the pop up button thing on the door near the window.
Get a kids 12 inch ruler, hacksaw blade or similar object, hold it vertically and slide it down between the window and rubber where the button is, it comes into contact with something give it a bit of a push and up pops the button and your in. Some models you have to get it under the thing you contact from an angle and pull it up instead.
Pathetic init?
Where did I learn this? Prison? dodgy mates? Chavs on the move.com?
No.
Richard and Judy beleive it or not! Afew years ago they were doing a survey on easiest cars to break into, they said we wont let you see how to do it but I saw what they used and where they stood, and went and tried it on my dads car. And it works a treat.0
