    Yeah, he said he would give it a go as it only leaves a soft footprint and didnt really matter. He thought it was better than trying the High Street. I thought he was the expert so let him do it

    Loan to value of 85% but it is tied up in the house as it belongs to her parents so it is a concessionary sale (I think thats what it is called)

    We have not got hers. She has had a mortgage before (never missed payments) and no overdraft or credit, so it must be my credit report.

    Hit and hope is hardly the way to deal with a case like yours.

    Neither is it sensible to assume your partners credit file will be OK.

    Get copies of BOTH your credit files from Equifax Experian and Callcredit, and engage an experienced broker who knows the adverse market.

  • Either way a decline can be impossible to disclose fully unless you were the person that built the software. Some are able to be told some not.

    Also if a lender is investigating someone for some reason they ain't going to tell the borrower.

    This is a case of too close to home maybe.
