New and Broke

hi all
im new here i only joined tonight, i need help.

i have just finished my PGCE at uni which means i am a qualified teacher- however, i have not got a job yet. so i am claiming job seekers allowance until i find one either supply or permanent. Anyway i owe the bank 3500 and have an overdraft of 1700 and owe ikea 500! arhggg
i dont have a job so no one will give me a loan to consolidate them into one payment which i would be abel to manage with JSA, what can i do?

    Consolidating isn't always the way to go as it depends on the APRs which you haven't stated.

    Do you have your JSA paid into the same bank which you owe money to? If so consider opening a new bank account to have the JSA paid into. What kind of bank account is it ie normal student or have you changed it to graduate - you may get a better deal if you change over.

    Am I right in saying you owe the bank £5200 (3500+1700)?
