I'm looking at a potential ill health retirement and still have a few years left to pay my mortgage. I live alone and am in my 40's.
Does anyone have any useful information or advice. Am seriously concerned as to how I will manage etc.

Speak to your lender and keep them informed of your situation.
Suggest you draw up a budget of income and outgoings as a priority. As you may well have tough choices ahead. Lenders are limited in the help they can give you. So better that you make plans yourself.0 -
If you end up claiming some income related benefits you may be able to get help towards interest payments on your mortgage.
