Ill health retirement with a mortgage

I'm looking at a potential ill health retirement and still have a few years left to pay my mortgage. I live alone and am in my 40's.
Does anyone have any useful information or advice. Am seriously concerned as to how I will manage etc.

Speak to your lender and keep them informed of your situation.

Suggest you draw up a budget of income and outgoings as a priority. As you may well have tough choices ahead. Lenders are limited in the help they can give you. So better that you make plans yourself.

If you end up claiming some income related benefits you may be able to get help towards interest payments on your mortgage.
