Have I ruined our chances?

Options
I need some advice please.

I have now been an ex bankrupt for 6 year - I will be 6 years discharged early next year. Partner has a perfect credit history. However about 3 and a half years ago after managing to get a catalogue to start building up credit a personal distaster happened after just having my second child, I has to move house and suffered some postnatal depression.

I got anxious about my situation and contacted the company (JDWilliams) to see if for a few months I could reduce the payments. They said sure fine and did so (no mention of an AR). I then paid off the whole remainding amount 2 months later and closed the account.

I am now in a much healthier place, work FT, OH works FT, saving for a deposit in hope to buy a house next summer if the prices do not get too crazy here (SE!). I have tried to contact JD and argued that they didnt inform me of the AR marker but will bit budge. I even explain the situation but to no luck. Will this stop us getting a mortgage? We will have about a 10% deposit. There is now way we can get a mortgage just in OHs name as need my salary multiple.

Thank you.

Don't know what a AR Marker is. Have you looked at your credit reports?

Maybe take your credit reports to a whole of market broker and see if they can help you.

"Arrangement to Pay", or AP Marker.

At 90% you will find extra scrutiny from any lender considering you. How it might view the AP marker from four years ago when you apply is anyone's guess.

All three credit files in front of independent broker would be my echo of what F-S said. Marker may not be visible on all three so advantage to be gained from using lender which only takes info from better looking credit file...
