I think its a lifetime ban for Bankrupts with Kensington AMN (at the moment - I seem to recall a rumour that it might change shortly) .....

Yes, perhaps I am getting ahead of myself. Something I thought I was told rather than laid out in in black and white.

Perhaps in one of those conversations of a million reasons why they wont take client X.

We never take ex bankrupts to KMC anyway.

Yep - we had a visit from their BDM a fortnight ago and when I asked why they didn't just change the question to "...in the last six years?" the response was "Well....erm....I'm not sure really...".

    Helpful.

    Lenders love a double negative.

As brokers we cannot name lenders on a forum as this could be seen as advice.

If you are unsure of your options then you should engage a broker rather than risk rejected applications.

Are there brokers out there who think that once a bankruptcy has disappeared from a credit file, they can fail to disclose it because it can't be found anywhere?

Best plan is to find a lender which will accept a historic bankruptcy, disclose it, then when the solicitor does the search, it won't be a nasty surprise for the lender when the solicitor discloses the search result.
