Unless the contents are listed and are useful to me I don't bother - the goody bag you got sounds much better than some I've had : 'Rucksack' (more like a supermarket carrier bag) broken pens, things which might be usable had they not got an embarrassing logo on them which you would never be seen with in public.
Old DVD's encrusted with dust etc.
I won an umbrella from a comp a few years back that would have been lovely, it was like a big golf umbrella, good quality - but it had 'VEET' printed all the way around it in huge letters. I would have been walking round town looking like a hair removal cream superfan!0 -
Hubby doesn't mind wearing promotional stuff, but I had to draw the line when we were off out together and he came out of the bedroom wearing an EBAY baseball cap and a tshirt with I AM NUMBER FOUR blazoned across the front.0

I won a Spider man 2 goody bag from one of the daily mags. When it eventually arrived 2 months later the film was well and truly moved on from the cinema. All it contained were 2 posters of a Harry Potter old film and nothing Spinderman anyway. Wouldn't have even been worth 50p let alone the effort to enter from all the dailies and then the postage.
Another time I won click to win The Raid DVD with cinema ticket offer, well at least thats how it was decribed. When it turned up, again the ticket offer had expired 6 months previously. I couldn't see why they made such a big thing of the offer on the prize when it was past it before the comp was posted.
Heho PR folk are definately a law unto themselves.Prize fund 2025 £18 Prize Fund 2024 £16600 -
I won an X-men merch pack and my 14 year old brother loved the t-shirt and journal that came with it so much that I wish I'd saved them for christmas!0
