Update- Debtline were not really helpful regarding this. They were very polite and understanding but didn't really give me any positive direction I haven't already tried.
It's been four months now and no further correspondence has been received regards this so I assume it has "died" again.0 -
Lets untangle this.
There is a CCJ applied and in force for this debt which was taken out in 2005? In which case, they cannot take out another. The best they can do is try to action the CCJ already in force. However, if there has been no movement on that CCJ within 6 years, then they would have to go back to the court to apply for permission to pursue and I dont know about anyone else here, but I have not heard of that actually happening for all that there is a provision to do so. Your last movement on this was 2009 which is nearly 6 years. They are clearly not replying to your letters and they refused the original payment attempt. They are pressuring you into paying a debt which although covered by a CCJ has not been actioned either. I cant see this flying in court at all.
I'd file it under 'watch and wait'.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it
