That isn't plagiarism. Plagiarism is when you take the thoughts, ideas and theories of someone else and use them as your own, without clear references to their work. It's basically theft.
Saying voice recognition is a method of inputting data is just fact.
If you were to read something written by John Smith theorising about another method of inputting data, like - I don't know - telepathy or something (I can't think of something more realistic, I'm not Mr Smith!), and you then used his idea as your own without adding a reference to his work (e.g. Smith, Journal of Theoretical Computing, p27, May 2013) - that's plagiarism.0 -
