Hi all
Firstly im not sure if I have posted this in the right section, I apologise if I have.
Basically I have no money to my name, maybe a few coppers laying about, but apart from that nothing.
I have no friends or family to turn to and certainly cannot afford or obtain a payday loan.
I have no food in the cupoards, and nothing I can sell to raise funds.
If anybody can suggest where to go/turn to I would greatly appreciate it.
I cannot get to and from work, lucky I have paid all my bills etc for the month
Regards

Is there anyone at your work who could give you a lift? I have found that people are usually willing to help out if you explain your situation and emphasise that it is only for a few weeks. Have you a local food bank you could approach? You could go to your local CAB and see what help they can give you and they may be able to signpost you onto other organisations that could help also. You could also try your local Church.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Would your employer give you an advance? That would help with the immediate situation, though of course you would need to pay it back.
You need advice from one of the free debt charities or the CAB. Your debts are much less important than putting food on the table, and they could help you negotiate lower payments to avoid being in this situation again.
Is there any chance of free food at work? In offices there is often cake etc for the taking, and sometimes leftover sandwiches from meetings etc. Not ideal I know, but better than nothing.0 -
Hi Mark,
So sorry to hear of your situation.
I have just had a look at "crisis loan" for you
E.g. Www.nidirect.gov.uk/crisis-loans
I hope it can be of help to you. The criteria suggest you don't need to be on benefits and it can be used because you don't have enough money to meet your immediate needs. You don't have to pay interest when you pay it back.
The site says a crisis loan does not count as income and does not affect other benefits.
You can contact your local social security / jobs and benefit office by phone (contacts link on site above) or phone crisis loan claim line FREEPHONE
0800 028 8822 from 9-4:30 mon, tues, wed and fri and 10-4:30 thurs.
I really hope they can help you
Also I found on trussell trust food bank website "To visit a foodbank near you contact foodbanknetwork@trusselltrust.org or call 01722 580171"
Best wishes. Let us know how you get on.0 -
Hi mark,
what do you have in the cupboards - if you give us a list something will be edible.
Do you have a poors charity or allotment near you? Most villages or towns have small hangover charities from the enclosure act, or sometimes private small charities left over from wealthy people years back - if you pm me your location I don't mind looking for you, but you can search on the charity commission website.
They often help out residents in crisis, but are little known.0
