Hi, just wanted to ask a question - I know a lot will depend on how things are at the time etc but just wanted to get an idea so any help/advice very welcome.
We have had debt trouble in the past but will soon be clear, by the time we apply for a mortgage we will be debt free and have no adverse credit on our file. we will be 50 & 45 both in good jobs for over a year and no other credit apart from one credit card each with a balance of less than 1000.00, we have 3 children under 18.
Would we get a mortgage? We will have at least 20% to put down.
I know its hard to ask such a question but just wanted to know if we were just dreaming - we would be first time buyers. thanks
