Work experience on hold

Hi I asked a couple week back about work experience in jcp and I was due to start tommorow, I work part time and I have been doing 6 hours for quite a while now. Today I was in work today and they have upped my hours to 9-12 for next couple weeks. I thought I'd inform jcp where I due to do work experience for adive, they have said to put my work experience on hold and they will ring my advisor. I am due to sign on so il ask of I could see my advisor about it while I'm there.

Would they cancel it straight away so I don't get sanctioned as it isn't what I need. Also I doubt il get the higher hours on a long term basis as they said there wasn't enough budget to give me extra hours there.

It's a different sector, I want to work in business and admin but no experience or quals I'm currently working in retail.

You will not get sanctioned, all work experience is voluntary.

But this Gov't uses a new definition of voluntary, I understand there's voluntary work which, once started, can't be stopped without sanctions.

Yeah I was told if I didn't do it I would have 4 weeks with no money. I went to where I was doing my work experience and they said it's fine put it on hold. I went to sign on and my advisor was there asking if I was ready to start today and I explained the problem and she said that's fine don't worry as it's ok to put on hold she hadn't had a phone call though.
