I bought some cut sunflowers (not very money saving but very beautiful) which have now finished. Are the seeds edible? I couldn't find anything about them online.
Thanks

I don't see why not, they need shelling first so any sprays used if not on the seed flesh. I'd be a bit apprehensive (and that is saying a lot because we eat anything) about unseen/unknown fertilisers, pesticides used which may have residue in the actual seeds which may not be at healthy or safe levels.
However, it takes a while for the seeds to form properly so you will need to store the heads for a while to let them grow otherwise there is nothing to them.. far more effort than gain.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
