Settled debts, credit reports and bank statements

Hello

I've been in a very fortunate position to be able to clear all my debts last week in full. I paid all my creditors in full on Thursday and Friday.

I've checked my online banking and only a few payments are showing, how long should I wait before chasing the companies if at all?

Also how long will it take for them to show as settled on my credit report? I'm in no hurry to get anymore credit and won't anyway due to very poor credit scores but I just wondered.

Thank you

If you can, try to get written conformation from each creditor that you account is settled.

If not, print off proof of payment and the settled status from your credit file when each account updates.

There are plenty of accounts of people paying up only to have a £25 charge follow through the next month and that turns in to hundreds after a while.

Feel free to call me paranoid too though...
