Ha-ha! :rotfl:
I just HAD to share this comic moment I experienced re "olive oil" uses . . .
I happened to come across a good book, being sold on the Internet, on the variable uses of olive oil, entitled :
Unusual Uses For Olive Oil.
"Ooh!" I thought, "That will be useful!"
as I already own several good books on the uses of white vinegar, citrus juice, etc.; products I now use to clean the house, etc. So I thought this olive oil book would add an extra use for this household item, & give me more money-saving tips around the house.
And as the book was reduced from £7.99 to £2.99, I thought: What a bargain! (Me, a :money: Money Saving Expert?! Yay!)
I was sold, so made the purchase.
However, on the book arriving I found that . . . it is in fact a book of FICTION!

(It is a story written by an author named Alexander McCall Smith, who is a writer of 'comedy fiction'; see: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0349120102).

Ah well, we all learn somehow!!

Update: I have further
Googled for a more relevant book & have found the following:
The Miracle of Olive Oil
(see e.g.:
£5.75 (on sale; RRP £6.99)
www.amazon.co.uk/The-Miracle-Olive-Penny-Stanway/dp/1780281056/
The same book is, BTW, still better VFM - on sale at £3.99 - at bargain shop The Works:
www.theworks.co.uk/p/fitness-books/the-miracle-of-olive-oil/9781780281056
So I might give THAT book a go, instead of McCall Smith's work!! Ha-ha!!APennySaved

Poor APennySaved! Glad you found the book you needed in the end. But the first one may be a good read anyway0

I love Alexander McCall Smith so I think it was a lucky mistake! I hope you enjoy the book - it's not my favourite one of his but I did enjoy it.0

Yes, if(!) I ever find the time to read it, then hopefully I will get my money's worth
out of the McCall Smith novel!
( I'll add it to my ever-growing pile of books I want to read . . . LOL!)

Titles can be misleading. A few years ago, I saw several of the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series in the cookery section of our local bookshop.0
