Did you enter this by any chance: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=498456 I said on the thread it looked like one of those companies.

Yeah that was the one, I remembered someone saying something along the lines it sounds like everyones a winner type of thing. Its the first thing I thought when the bloke started droning on and on, it was the first time that I was so glad of one of my children having a paddy:D

I just got a call from these guys, he wanted me to give my card details over the phone for £80 as a deposit  , told him to sling his hook... kept calling me "darling", and arguing with me... :o I hung up on him.

Plus seeing as I live in Belfast, I had no idea how I was going to get over to London to do it!!!!

thats the guy who rang me!!!
  • I would NEVER enter a comp for a makeover in London anyway as I can't get there, if travel was included & accom etc it may be different but I knew I hadn't entered this one.

a friend of mine did one of these... the make up and photography people are usually not professionals and have never studied either (I have seen job ads for photographers to work for these type of companies (free ad papers only) who 'don't need photography knowledge')- and you end up looking awful and they add a blur to the photos - terrible quality and very cheesy.

My friend was made to remove the make up (she didn't mind as they had applied it with a trowel!) and they kept ringing her everyday to get her to buy the photos which would have cost nearly £100 for 2 copies!?!??!?!?

trust me you will look better and get a better photo if you did it your self!
