Spurious Question Alert: How long will Roast Chicken stay fresh?

Good Evening,
Please forgive me if it is an obvious one! I picked up a stuffed roast chicken that was on offer in Aldi yesterday and it is currently cooking away in the oven. However, there is only my son (3) and I (and 2 greedy cats) in the household. I have 2 questions:
A) how long will it keep in the fridge? I automatically assume that after 36hrs it is off?
I always resort to chicken sandwiches for left overs. Could anyone recommend alternatives for my son and I please? I am keen to learn how to get it to stretch further and not waste it unnecessarily.
I read the OS threads quite a lot and I am quite keen to soak up more ideas!
Thank you in advance x

add to omelettes, stirfry, casserole, carbonara, cold with salad and new potatoes, in a pie.
Are you not able to freeze in smaller portions after cooking?
I've just scoffed chicken which was cooked last Saturday.. I'm not dead yet!!At a constant low temp it is fine for a while.

Add to anything from curry or sweet & sour to salads0 -
Hi, yes freezing is perfectly safe. We freeze in two person portions then defrost overnight in the fridge and eat as is. Cold chicken salad for example. Or you could really stretch it and mix with sweetcorn and mayo to make sandwich fillings.
If we reheat I either re heat in gravy at gas mk 6 for 30 minutes or re heat in a curry sauce and cook a batch of rice. If you make your own currys (I have tried) you can add the chicken knowing its cooked.
As with all meat you cook once and freeze, defrost and re heat to bubbling once, as long as you follow this rule you wil be fine,0
