I am after a new LED TV, at the moment I have a 40" samsung and sit roughly 8.5 ft away, I always feel like half the telly is missing when I watch it, so was after a 48" but they only have 46":(, which my gut feeling says is too small.
The next size is 55"..is this going overboard... is a 55" too big ?
it would mean a tiny bit of overhang on my stand by about an inch each side,i just don't want to end up with another telly where I feel
dissapointed but I don't want it to look stupid either!!! :undecided

    dont worry about overhang.
    I run a 50" on a stand designed for 40" or so
got about 2" each side. dont even notice it.
I was eyeing up the 55" Samsung myself. Cant justify the spend right now :(
We did the same though. went for 37" first but 'had' to go up to 50"
  • Thanks
I have bitten the bullet and gone for the 55"!
I just know the 46" would be another mistake
Custardy the one I got is the UE55F6320, it was £899 from Isme, which I think is a good price, 12 months interest free! :)

Aye,I saw it around at a good price. I simply cant justify it over our 50" plasma.
I have an HTPC hooked up via the AV amp. So I dont need the smart features etc really.
so 5" of extra screen & 3D. Need other stuff like a new car first. tempting though......
