Friend owes me money but is avoiding me. Please help!

Lending to friends often proves to be unwise.
You should accept that this person is not your friend. Friends do not act in this manner. Also, it is highly likely you will need to accept at some stage that you will not recover this money. Save yourself the emotional turmoil, draw a line under it and move on.0 -

As post 6. It may come as a surprise to you, but you can't recover debts via social media/texts/messaging. Send her an LBA in writing, sent by recorded delivery, giving her 7/14 days to repay the debt. If no response then go via the small claims process.
However, bear in mind that winning the action is no guarantee of recovering the money, and you may need to resort to extra costs for bailiffs etc.No free lunch, and no free laptop
