20k loan for home improvement - any tips?

Hi

We are looking to borrow 20k for 3/4 yrs for home improvements (new drive, kitchen etc).
I wondered if anyone had any suggestions or tips about the best deals we should look out for?

My husband is self employed (company director, Ltd company) but has 3 yrs accounts. We have a mortgage but no other debts and an excellent credit score.

    Can I just say that your credit score is worthless, it wont get you a loan.

    cheapest is likely to be your mortgage provider but will depend upon the equity you have and their affordability calculations




    then your bank is probably your next best bet : presumably your a/cs show income of at least 40K?

    I'll give them a call now, see what the criteria is. Our house is worth at least £420-£440k, mortgage 300k.

    Sorry only just saw the other part of your reply. Yes joint income is around £110k.
