Hello
We are hopefully moving September and we are porting our current mortgage over with us to avoid fee's, this mortgage ends 31 Dec. We have been told that we can not fix in again for 6 months after we have moved, so will fix in February/March time.
Is there anyway we would be able to fix in again in december?
Could we move to a different mortgage company, which would mean having the additional mortgage with the woolwich (which we are fixing in) and the old mortgage with someone else
We are with the woolwich.
Thank You.

Many lenders will not consider an application for a mortgage nor remortgage until you've owned the property for six months.
You would need to remortgage to a new lender which does not operate this rule.
You will only have one mortgage after you move. It will have two sub-accounts in it, one for the old bit at the old rate and one for the new bit. You can't move a sub-account to another lender, you can only remortgage the whole mortgage to a new lender.I am a mortgage broker.
