mortgage name after split

Options
could someone provide some advise.

my folks have split but not divorced and don't intend on(religious reasons) they have a tiny flat worth 30k that neither live in or rent out , it was bought as a sort of investment for me, only child. My dad has been paying the mortgage himself for the last ten years, theres about another two years to go and he may then retire there.

the question is , my mum doesn't want anything to do with the flat or mortgage but is still on the mortgage. how can we go about getting her off, with her agreement , and either my dad keeping it as his only , or can I go on instead of her so that if anything happens it passes to me as they both intended?

he isn't good with speaking to people and the RBS won't deal with me on his behalf- im currently trying to get to speak to someone there the both of us , but we both work , the mortgage person doesn't work Saturdays so its proving difficult. just wondered if there are any possibillites before us both taking leave from work to get to speak to someone at the bank,

thanks for any assistance
