Thoughts on egg mortgage, please

I need to remortgage to raise capital for marital settlement. Current lender (A&L) would charge high redemption and new set-up fees ~ over £500 in all. Looks like I should change lenders and am considering egg mortgage. Any thoughts/advice would be gratefully received!
