Being picked on at work ageism?

Hi I'm looking for some help and advice
I'm 30 years old and second youngest at our work, I work as a manual in the field for local authority
I've worked here since 19 and never had a single issue, until this year.
Basically I got teamed up with a new starters about 5 months ago who is 26 years old ( proper lad as you'd expect of that age but generally nice guy too ) and showed him the ropes/Job just like someone my age did when I was 19,
But in the last 3 months we've both had 2 rows, first for stopping at normal time for breakfast on one of our sites ( on way to another) done this for last 11 years with old heads etc and never been questioned.
Well the new manager who used to be a manual like me took exception to this and made up a story saying that he had a complaint from someone in his village where in actual fact his wife saw us as she parks near by.
And this guy in the village had seen us saying 'I see your boys have found a new hiding place) so told me over phone look be careful where you park in future after I explained stopped for breakfast as I'm allowed and used local toilets he said yeah no problem,
2 hours later he texts to say come see me in office, makes us both feel really small and nervous and gives us both brown envelops also says to the other 26 year old, il get someone to give you a lift home your finished. Luckily he opened the envelope and it was a not saying use your heads, then played it down.
Month later same boy gets wet so I take him home to change as I've down in past, drop him home boss rings to ask where I am after telling him what happened, come see me in office tomorrow, gives us a huge bollocking and tries to put us on a probationary period which would lose me about £100 a month so I refused as I've never heard of this ever before happening across the country and said Im not happy and want to get the unions involved he then backed out of this..
Now the most recent someone has made an anonymous complaint I think someone from my work is making it up personally saying that myself and same work mate have been sat in the van on site and give 3 times when we have been seen 2 of these are official breaks anyway, but I have a meeting with the boss Monday as I have been on annual leave, there's another 8 boys working in this team and they do far worse things and nothing is ever said..
Even with this boss knowing fully, and I wouldn't want to drop my workmates in trouble anyway.
I feel because we are 2 of the youngest we are being singled out I just want to know what I should do, it's far too good a job to throw away!
But the stress and upset it causes me are building too much now! But I don't know how to approach it cleverly, I can shout and ball as much as the next guy but realise this isn't best these days.

I can't see anything that points to ageism.
What is oral time?0 -
No hint of ageism here IMO.
It's more a clash of personalities. For now just make sure you have plenty of notes of any incidences and keep in contact with your union.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -
Sorry bloody iPad spelling, yes I feel it's ageism as we are the youngest working here, and the other guys are older, he never seems to bother them and they are doing far worse things than us, not turning up on time, doing personal work in work time etc and me and my work mate turn up on time do the work don't bother anyone and yet are being treated like this.
So only thing I can think is because it's our age, how are we being treat differently and whats the difference only difference our age?!0 -

Prove it's age...you will find it very difficult to do this.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -

I would suggest grow up and get on with your work.
Took someone home because they got wet?
Good to see that someones council tax is being well spent.0 -

Excuse me but you don't know the conditions we work in, and sitting on site in cold weather soaked through is not about being 'childish' it's call your health..
There is health in health and safety you know that right?
I bet you sit in a nice warm office and if you do venture out of it it's a lovely nice day.If you haven't got anything productive to add to this then please go troll somewhere else.

When on site I wear waterproofs.0 -
Lol waterproofs, they don't help much when you fall in the river, you obviously haven't a clue.
No he wasn't being paid the time I had got him home.0 -
Presumably you have always been one of the youngest? If it was ageism then it would follow that the behaviour would have started long ago?0
