Thursday 7th Aug - What small DFW things will you be doing today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym .
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending .
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :money:

Morning folks, I hope everyone is well today.
Not an entirely successful day yesterday either
but I did have something from stores for tea! Didn't get home until about 9.15!
It's pretty gloomy here today and it's making me a little gloomy too. But must celebrate small successes, as we reached a crucial milestone in the project at work yesterday :T
Today's (being gentle on myself) list:- Check online banking and reconcile against spreadsheets
- B from stores (L and D? hmmm.)
- Charge phone in work
- Overtime (got 49 hours last month - woo!) (If I carry on like this though, Ill be getting perilously close to paying higher rate tax )
- Dye my hair at home (if I don't get back stupidly late...)
- And one for the ladies... gents avert thine eyes... use my mooncup
- Enjoy general Thursday silliness in work (do love my job and colleagues tbh)
- Check to see in Kenco have coffee :rotfl: - no!
- Make some bread? Will I ever?!
- Hoovered the rug with the dustbuster
- OH staying out tonight so less water/elec etc used (don't dare ask where his spends came from )
Have a good one all

Hello all! Long time no see - I do read through from time to time to keep up but I don't have any time to post during term time.
Just thought this would help some.....
The Sun has a £5 voucher for fruit and veg with no minimum spend at Morrisons today - you can use it over the next couple of days. I got 2 papers (2 vouchers, 40p each) and managed to get two huge bags of fruit and veg for the grand total of £1.04:D
I paid for one at the self serve and one at the tills - loads of people were doing it.
Completely free F&V providing you reach the £5 limit :T0 -
Morning all!
Quick list from me today as popping into work.
- breakfast and lunch from home
- think we are having dinner at a friends
- pop to town, use OH £5 M&S rewards voucher (with permission) towards a dine in for my birthday dinner at the weekend.
- go to cash for clothes, didn't get time yesterday.
- relist chest of drawers - let down again! getting very frustrated now!
- collect my free birthday Krispy Kreme
- exchange faulty trousers to newlook - currently wearing them and my friend pointed out the seam is coming apart- they were a gift from my mum so no receipt hoping this wont be a hassle.
Think that's all for today.
Have a good one all

Afternoon all (is that the time already )
For me today:
So far I have:
Hoovered - it needed it
Bathroom cleaned
Washing done and on line. One lot already dry
Collected new chickens and installed them in their clean, disinfected accommodation
Wasted time watching chickens
Still to do:
Trip to sales unit to see if any topping up needed
Bit of shopping
Supper - Thai theme tonight, with pumpkin and coconut soup followed by Thai fishcakes. Sounds posh, but mostly leftovers. Must get that roasted squash out of the freezer!
More chicken watching no doubt :rotfl:
Walk dog later when it is cooler.
Hope everyone has a good day
