Why can't I register for patient access

Ok my local practice is supposed to offer patient access and online booking but for some reason I keep getting the following message when I try and register.


“The details you have entered do not match the details your practice holds. Please edit your details and try again. Please note - you must already be registered as a patient at

---

to use Patient Access. If you are still experiencing difficulty you will need to register for Patient Access in person at your practice. “


I have had one or two minor problems with my doc so did wonder whether or not he has uploaded my details. Not sure how the system works...

We find that this happens sometimes. Pop into your practice and ask and they will be able to print you the access details there and then. It won't be anything personal, there are too many users to do things like that.

If I remember right the practice gave me some code or ID number I needed to register, I would have not been able to do it without it.

Yes, I think you need an ID number/code and also a password. We were given ours by our surgery receptionist before we could gain access online. HTH
