To be fair I think your girlfriend could play a big role in this and hopefully she will be very supportive (A team effort and all that :) ). Presumably a lot of the entertainment money is spent whilst out with her? Does she live at home as well?
If not you could try cooking at her place (rather than maybe getting a meal out or a takeaway), go to the cinema when it's 2 for 1 (orange wednesdays ) or cheap night tuesday or using tesco vouchers, make the most of the nice weather for summer fetes, free music festivals, picnics, walks/cycles, go to free museums, have a games night, have a tv/dv night (assuming you can download a film cheaper than going to the cinema).
I'm sure you can find loads of creative ways to spend time with your girlfriend and not spend too much money.

    Hi
Try a market if you eat a lot of meat, may be worth a visit once a month, especially at the end of the day when they might reduce it.
Also ceaper cuts slow cooked (or in a pressure cooker) can taste just as good as the expensive stuff.
Bulk it out with rice , pasta or beans and it will cut the cost. Also hop over to the Old Style boards, those peeps could make money stretch till it is almost out of sight!.
Good luck with clearing the debt

+1 you should definitely be looking places other than tesco etc

I have a nearby market where I can scoop up a huge bowl of tomatoes a third the price of sainsburys, courgettes, avocados 3 for £1 (or 5 for £1 if they're getting a little over ripe) etc etc

Lidl and Aldi don;t get quite that low but for staple veg and ingredients you would cook from scratch with it's a great option

Another trick I exploit is parents living vaguely locally (25min drive away) who have a costco card so I'll find out when my mum's planning a shop and pop along one saturday morning every 6 months or so for a big stock up on household stuff and bulk dried food (ie rice, pasta, jars of jalepenos, olives, olive oil, washing powder etc etc) -> avoids needing to shell out for my own membership that way ;)

Who is the fourth adult? Is it your girlfriend - if so, does she contribute to the household expenses?
