With the lovely warm weather recently I have been wearing flip flops/sandals a lot around the garden and barefoot inside at home and
as a result my feet are in need of a bit of tlc, hard dry skin around my heels etc.
Can anyone share any of their tips secrets / products for a DIY pedicure at home for keeping their feet in tip top condition

cheaper option, that works a treat-
Before you go to bed, rub in lemon juice, file feet with a metal foot file (I use the soap and glory one, but £1 shop ones will work) rinse off lemon and skin, apply flexitol foot balm, pop on a pair of socks and leave overnight.
I like the soap and glory file as as well as two different large file ares, in the handle is a small file which is great for toes.LIVE SIMPLY * GIVE MORE * EXPECT LESS * BE THANKFUL0 -
What is the difference between a pumice stone, a ped-egg, a scholl hard skin remover and using a foot file?
They all rub away the dead and hard skin, so apart from the cost, there should be no difference, or am I missing something?0 -

Great advice thank you I will give this a go. I have checked out flexitol, it has very good reviews. Tulip0 -
The 'poundshops' also have their own versions of heel repair/softening creams which I have tried and they work well too. Keep an eye out in there for brand names too, I have picked up Flexitol's foot cuticle cream before for a pound.0

That's great thank you.0 -
I used to get pedicures in the salon, but cant afford them any more, so I managed to find the scourer type thing that they used to use to scrub off all the hard skin. Its literally like a rock hard scouring brush, used a few times a week it really does leave your feet looking sandal ready!0
