Mine were installed by Bluebuild Energy in Bangor - good price and quality of workmanship was first class.

Ours were installed by Paul O'Brien and they provided a good follow up service etc.
2p or not 2p? That is the question!

PowerNI is doing a 4kw one for 6k. I think it is a safe bet for after sale customer service

free scheme free electric during the day and not much else .Paid scheme is a long commitment and the government can change to rules on feed back to the grid .

Exactly so unless you are at home all day running you heating, cooking, washing, etc, etc, etc, off the electric there really is not much benefit to it

Once you are signed up to the government scheme they cannot change the rules on the feed in for the period to which you are signed up.... Yes they can change it, and indeed they have, but this was/is to new applicants...

As I have said before (This is coming from one solar company who will NOT install the free systems). NOTHING IN LIFE IS FREE. do you really think these companies would just be installing a FREE system for the good of their health ?? Unless you outright own your house or are there for the long term (you may be required to ask your mortgage provider if you can install these things anyway) and you have use for Electricity during the day (i.e you work from home, have a stay at home parent etc.etc.) then the "Free" system has no real benefit to you. all you're really doing there is giving a solar company your roof for a minimal fee each year and it is them who is making the real money !!

If you have the cash then get it installed yourself.... (Don't borrow money for it either)

    Just my view....
