Hello there
This is my first post..so apologies if its in a wrong place
Had a surgery on 24 th july on a spinal cord and after coming
Out of hospital doctor wants me to start being outdoors in order
To get back on track.
Decided to join the gym and went to local la fitness with wife.
Both joined on friday and met with doctors later on same friday
Which upset him and wants me to cancel.
I can get cancellation with doctors lettet but how to get wife's
Membership cancelled?she doesn't have motivation to go solo.
After joining terms and condition sent by email says i can get cancellation
Within 7 days if i don't use the gym at all.
When called they said it only applies if i joined online and not in
Branch.so why did they sent me tand c which doesn't apply.
Please help

There's always a cool-off period regardless of the way you sign-up. Since you haven't used the gym at all, just be firm and say you are no longer interested and will be cancelling your direct debit. After all, it's not as if you already used their services and then decided to claim your money back. It is also surprising that they EMAIL their T&C AFTER they make you sign the paper in person... Since they haven't informed them of the cool-off period or T&C at the moment of signing the contract, it makes it a bit illegal, isn't it??? So you have every right to insist on cancellation.0
