There is no need to declare spent convictions. Insurance claims then yes, if asked but the OP said they asked about convictions not claims0 -
always, always, always declare any issues like this, they will appreciate his honesty, at the end of the day they will get to know. and if he doesnt declare he may get sacked on the spot0
