    Some of Heals leather is pure aniline. You can tell the type of leather by doing a simple moisture test. Put a drop of water on the leather and see whether it soaks in or not. If it does very quickly you have an Aniline Style leather. If it soaks in slowly you have a Pull Up or Micro Pigment with some finish on the leather. If it stays on the surface you have some sort of finished leather.
