Two months pay paid at once - huge deductions

You don't need to wait for the P60, as already stated the tax will sort itself out over the course of the rest of the year. And chrisbur has explained what should have been done with NI, so the deduction may well be correct.0

Has this been done as PILON so the job has actually terminated early.
Are they working Aug?
Rare it is ever a good idea to hand in more notice than required.
There is holidays built into teachers pay and anyone on term time.
It is important when terminating is to check they get the calculations correct.
AIUI NI should be based on the number of weeks/months the pay is for so should be correct if not that will need addessing.
Any overpayment of tax will be recovered by paying no tax in the next pay(s) until the overpayment is recovered.
If still employed then they should issue a payslip and pay a refund that's why checking the job has not been terminated early is important.0 -

Cannot be 100% certain without seeing the actual figures but from what the OP has said I am under the impression that NI was deducted as if the two months' wages were all for one month so giving only one month's NI allowance rather than NI being calculated on the two separate months. As such in my opinion the NI deduction is not correct.
Tax does not matter as this will self correct sooner or later.0
