Hi all,
I made jam 2 years ago and I have just found 2 jars in the back of the cupboard! They are sealed, the top of the jar is still down; my question is can I still use it?
Thank-you

I have jars of jam and chutney in the cupboard that are at least 2 years old. Contents taste as fresh as if made yesterday. As long as well sealed should be fine. A good sniff will tell you!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

You guys are fantastic, thank-you for your replies. I shall be having a good sniff and a taste and then if all is good it's going on toast and tapioca today

HM jams keep well if they are a mix of half fruit/half sugar, because of the high sugar content.
If you half the amount of sugar compared to the weight of the fruit,it'll last less well.
I've got lots of jams that are 4 yo,and they're fine.0 -
PM me, and I will take it off your hands0
