You're entitled to ASK for flexible working, your employer is equally entitled to reject it - you're a parent, welcome to part of the responsibilities of that job! If you're being late you should consider yourself lucky that you're only facing a reduction in wage rise, if your time keeping is on a consistent basis you could just as easily be facing justified disciplinary proceedings!

Look at this from your colleagues point of view, you're turning up late consistently, they're turning up on time - if I was one of your colleagues I'd have spoken to you about it already! (Along the lines of "hey, try setting your alarm earlier!") The stress line, well who you blaming that on - YOU are being late, YOU have failed to deal with the childcare situation, YOU are the reason your bosses are "haranging" you. Where I come from your bosses are doing their job, you're just looking for a scapegoat for that.

Noted. Could be a troll, or maybe the behaviour is indicative of what the employer finds unacceptable!
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.

More likely he thought he was going to get backed up and when he realised he was in the wrong he decided not to continue.

The op will probably get all the flexibility he desires via a P45.

    Hi

Essentially I'm after some feedback about Flexible working hours, but it's a little more complicated than that:

Am not sure if I'm on the receiving end of workplace bullying, gross negligence or a lack of understanding for flexible working hoursfor parents, so any advice would be helpful.

I'm not sure if you are serious, but no, nothing that you've posted suggests any of the above.
