I think that was a typically bad comment made without thinking by Paddy, pretty typical it seems now-a-day from our young, ill-prepared, inexperienced and ill-advised sports stars (Brings Rory-gate to mind, "I feel more British than Irish")

Paddy will have known all to well what song was to be played and it's well known the Commonwealth games is the only games were Northern Ireland has a stand alone team in Boxing (Normally boxing on the Island of Ireland is an all Island sport like the Rugby)

He'll have to just suck it up and put it down to a learning experience. These young sports people really should be better advised by their teams/management on how to present themselves especially now-a-day with social media being so in your face....

Sports people should just stay off social media..... innocently said or not, one ill-informed or ill-judged comment can do soooooo much damage to a career/image....
