Has anyone been bankrupt and then gotten a mortgage?
I've read the permanent post on the bankruptcy board but any new info would be valuable.
Also has anyone had any dealings with a specialist broker or with "online mortgage advisor". Onlinemortgageadvisor.co.uk

Ive not had any dealings with that website, I have never even heard of them.
It is possible to get a mortgage following bankruptcy. The odd lender says 12 months post bankruptcy, a few kick in after 3 years and then more beyond that.
It will come down to the finer details - who you owed money to (if its any of the more lenient lenders then it may come back to haunt you, once bitten and all that), how old the bankruptcy is, how your payment history has been since the bankruptcy and the size of the deposit.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. If anyone has had any experience of this or could recommend a company it would be appreciated0 -
Doable - subject to financial profile since (as ACG indicates).
