Hi Guys
I've recently started a DMP and made my first payment this month! yey!
I've received a letter from Halifax today saying that they are prepared to accept the reduced payment offered by Stepchange but will not freeze the interest.
Can someone help me with a letter that I can write to them to ask them to freeze the interest? Im useless at these things.
Thanks in advance!

they don't have to freeze the intrest, its only a gestureDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

National debtline website has a template letter for exactly this.

Whilst that's absolutely true, most banks and lenders will agree to do so if it is clear that someone has genuine financial difficulties. Given that the OP is on a DMP with our friends at Stepchange this is likely to be the case. It can sometimes take a few attempts to convince a bank or lender to freeze the interest. I hope our sample letter does the trick.
