Fri 1st Aug - What small DFW things will you be doing today?

Hi all,
Today's small things:
*Cleaned whole house using minimal products.
*Update budgets & get grocery budget straight as mr f has overspent on this week's shop (we knew it would happen this time).
*Check online banking to see if my £50 Ugov money has arrived. No!
*Water veggie garden. Pick a few bits that are ready. Greengages will want picking soon by the looks of them. I want to get them before the wasps!
*Knit the neckline then sew up the jumper I've knitted for the present box.
*Make a list of things I need to do in town tomorrow to keep me on the straight & narrow.
*All free leisure today with my knitting, library book still to finish, bit of recorded TV, etc.
*Cat had vet appointment today but costs were apparently included in last time's bill, so nothing extra to pay.
*Free 'Guardian' ('My Waitrose' card)
Not a very big list today, but it'll have to do!
Have a good Friday, everyone. Keep your paws on your pence,
f x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0 -
:wave:Hi Peeps! Yay, it's Friday! :j
Thank you Ally for starting us off, I would love a Krispy donught or 100 nectar points from Oxfam, but unfortunatly it doens't apply to NI- just like most offers, feeling a little left out in here...
Your slow cooked mushroom & greenbean casserole sound a little unusual but yum gemnomnom.
Jodles16- an acre of land! Class!!!
solvencyseeker- your son's case sound grossly unfair- good on you for taking it to the top! :T
Idhme- good luck with your DMP- we started ours April 2013 and it's trully changed our life for the better.
I'm off tonight , finally can watch the DVD with OH that I feel asleep with on Tuesday.:p
My list for today:
:starmod:B/L/D from home- tonight will be a 'fake-away' night- cheeseburger and chips with all the trimmings. Was craving (plus tired) a take-away but because we have an expensive week front of us I decided we have to make do with what we have. We have most things for this meal, just have to get some nice rolls and some colslow, yum-yum.
:starmod:Check bank account & sweep some £ into savings. I started to move pennies accross to round down the current account to the nearest £5 or £0- at the moment I share these between 2 savings account- 1 for WTSHF and other for my 40th birthday treat (16 months away).
Both account approching £100- looking good.
:starmod:Watch DVD tonigh from our existing lot- Lord of the Rings 1- never get bored with this, hopefully will not fall asleap tonigh again, it would be embarassing.
That's it for now, will keep reading and hope you all have a good Friday!
