Tesco delivery saver with clubcard boost

Options
Hi,

I'm trying to buy a 6 month delivery saver for tesco with my clubcard vouchers.

Because it's a boost, clubcard vouchers double up so £9 of vouchers will get me a 6 month midweek plan (worth £18) as I understand it.

But on the clubcard boost deliverysaver webpage, when I type in 9 and click add to basket it comes up "total needed in clubcard vouchers £13.50.

I don't get it. Can anyone help please?

You need to add 6, not 9. Each unit of £1.50 is doubled to £3. Adding 6 will get you 6 x £3 in Clubcard Vouchers (total £18). The 9 you're trying to add at the moment makes a total of £27 (9 x £3). Hope that explains it.

I don't understand why it multiplies by 3 though. If £9 in vouchers gets you the £18 delivery plan - that's double, not triple.

    Hi Waterman3,

You're thinking you've put £9 into your basket when it's actually 9 'units'. The clubcard vouchers have to be redeemed in multiples of £1.50 and you have to type in the quantity of 'units' to redeem @ £1.50 each. So, when you typed "9", 9 units @ £1.50 each were added to your basket, which comes to £13.50 before double up.

As EllieWellie said, you only need to put 6 into your basket to get £18:
6 units @ £1.50 = £9, which is then doubled up to give you £18 to use.

I hope I've worked that out correctly. Clear as mud, eh?! ;)
