Alls Well that ends well....

A few years ago i posted here for advice

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/657183

After 6 years of hard work, the odd extra debt that i didnt know about cropping up, I am now down from 10k+ (with added debts) down to <£200 in debt, Excellent credit report and now just got a £100k mortgage which i never thought i would get....

So just a quick one for everyone struggling out there, there is light at the end of the tunnel and dont give up.

Thanks to everyone here for my odd pop in.

Fantastic! Well done you!! Any tips/advice? I'm starting with around £10k of debt and seeing someone else has been able to do it makes me think that we will be able to as well.

i got all the interest froze on all cards (i was sort of lucky as ALL my debts had gone to collectors so they didnt care as long as i started paying) I got a few of the newer ones reduced by setting up payment plans.

I sat there for a few years just chipping away (in all honesty i didnt make any over payments)

I came into a bit of a fortune and found a item i can buy in cheap and sell on ebay at a profit and im currently making about £2-300 a month on ebay so managed to pay off over a few months the remaining few.

a few phone calls to ask for a few things to be updated on my credit file to satisfied and my credit went from okay to excellent in about 2 weeks.
