clarification on banked hours!!!

I am contracted for 38 hours per week, but was changed onto a different team
On being placed onto this other team I would have been working 12-14 days continuously so they gave me separate days off resulting in me working less hours, which placed me on a minus hours.
Others moved onto my time gained extra hours giving them hours in the plus.
It has now emerged that my Duty Manager has said I have to repay these minus hours back even though I voiced my concerns as I was showing -76 hours. Also they said they would roster me for days that suit them, it weekends!!!!! Not during Monday- Thursday.
If I don't do them they will take it off my wages.
If I am on rest days for 4 days of that week, and I am rostered the last days for 8 hour shift per day and I take these last three days as annual leave entitlement, do I owe hours, or are they cancelled out.
Getting mixed advise from snr. Staff.
Also causing me anxiety as the company are now looking for voluntary redundancies.
Would like thoughto on this matter and as to where I stand.
Thanks....

It depends what it says in your contract, but I suspect what you are saying is true. Unless the company agreed that the hours worked would be waived, it's likely that they'll carry forward and will need to be repaid at some point
If you have a union or someone who has been there a long time, it's worth asking them as they will know your type of contract betterSo many glitches, so little time...0
