If this becomes an issue, it will happen later when your solicitor checks deposit source. Halifax delegates this to the solicitor and hardly ever does these checks itself.

Hello. We had this situation with Nationwide. My parents gifted deposit to my fiancee at the time, even though I wasn't named on the mortgage but was living in the house. Didn't have any issues whatsoever, just wrote the standard letter.Outstanding Debt at 01/01/2020
